However, its weight of approximately 35.4 kg, 20 × 4-inch fat tyres and full-suspension design create more resistance than a standard bicycle, so riding without power assistance will require more effort. Before a longer journey, check the remaining battery level and allow sufficient range for the distance, hills and load involved.

The V7 is recommended for riders approximately 5 ft 3 in to 6 ft 5 in tall and has a maximum total payload of 330 lb, or around 150 kg. This total should include the rider, luggage and any equipment carried on the bike. Yes. The V7 uses a removable 48V 20Ah battery, so you do not need to move the entire bike next to a power socket. Always use the supplied 54.6V 3.0A charger and follow the charging instructions provided with the bike. If the bike will not be used for an extended period, keep the battery in a dry place with a stable temperature and avoid leaving it fully discharged for long periods.

Before riding, check the tyre pressure, tread wear, cuts and any objects lodged in the rubber. Inflate the tyres within the range shown on the tyre sidewall or in the product instructions. Pressure that is too low can increase rolling resistance and the risk of pinch punctures, while excessive pressure may reduce comfort and grip on uneven surfaces. The 180mm hydraulic disc brakes, chain and folding latches should also be checked regularly. Before ordering electric bike accessories or replacement parts, confirm that the item is specifically compatible with the V7. The V7 has a 48V 20Ah battery and a stated range of approximately 65–104 kilometres, or around 40–65 miles. The upper figure is generally achieved with a lower assistance level, flatter roads and favourable test conditions. Actual range varies according to rider weight, gradients, temperature, tyre pressure, frequent stopping and starting, additional load and the selected assistance level. It is sensible to keep more batteries in reserve during cold weather, repeated climbs or rides using higher assistance levels.

When folded, the V7 measures approximately 39.6 × 22 × 31.5 inches and weighs around 78 lb, or 35.4 kg. Folding reduces the space needed for transport and storage, but the V7 is not a lightweight folding electric bike. Measure both the opening and the usable space inside your car boot before purchasing rather than relying only on its stated capacity. The V7 combines an 80Nm rear hub motor with five levels of pedal assistance and a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain. Selecting a lower gear and a suitable assistance level can make climbing easier. Actual performance will depend on the gradient, rider weight, additional load, battery level and road surface. On longer or steeper climbs, shift into a lower gear before the gradient increases and continue pedalling rather than relying entirely on the throttle.
